Kitty Cat P.A.L. Society

ABOUT THE SOCIETY

Since 2007 Kitty Cat P.A.L. Society has been practicing T-N-R and rescuing kittens born outdoors.

Our mandate is in our name: Prevent A Litter.

We continue to be 100% volunteer.

Our programs have grown to include Adopt-A-PAL, Semi-Social Barn Cat Rehoming from within our Society, Foster Home Program and The Ruby Fund.

WHAT WE DO

SPAY & NEUTER - The most important step in preventing the suffering of more homeless cats!  Cats can have three litters every year resulting in large cat colonies.  Spaying and neutering is the answer.

CATCH 'EMThe first step is humane trapping.  The first attempt to trap is usually the only opportunity a cat will give us, so a well-thought-out plan is needed.

FIX 'EMOnly with donations can feral and homeless cats get 'fixed' at a supporting Veterinarian. We practice T-N-R (Trap-Neuter-Return) when dealing with adult feral cats.  They view humans as predators due to their lack of human contact from birth, and prefer to return to their territorial home.  A feral adult cannot be socialized.

SOCIALIZE & RE-HOMEKittens under ten weeks old that are born to a feral mother cat can become affectionate pets with proper socializing.

LOVE ‘EM These cats need time, patience, love and a safe home.  If you can provide this, please be a foster parent!

KEEP ‘EM Now that these felines are PURRR-fect pets, they need forever homes.  Call us to adopt your first (or next!) forever cat!  250-218-7223.

PROVIDE FOOD TO COLONIES - Although cats are known as great hunters, poor living conditions and limited food sources make them susceptible to disease and undernourishment.  Donated food is available to colony caretakers to help improve the life of feral colonies.  Keeping cats healthy and happy is one part of creating a managed colony, consisting of healthier cats that are spayed or neutered.
