Meet Kikko, our current Ruby Fund cat

Kikko came to us in March 2012 and he used to "live" with a very-close-to-homeless person and was probably born with his hip joint malformed.  There is no ball on the head of his femur to fit into the socket joint of his hip and so the leg has migrated to lay in a twisted, foot-up position alongside his body for most of the time.  There are nerves and blood vessels feeding the leg, but it is useless and probably painful.  Kikko is an incredibly affectionate boy and he will be much happier once the leg is properly removed and healed.  We are raising funds for him, so please donate!

RUBY - She started it all in 2010!  Ruby was only a small kitten when she needed costly surgery to remove her eye.  She was one of three kittens who arrived with infections beyond the help of antibiotics alone.  Thanks to the generosity of the public, funds slowly mounted for her surgery.  The Board of Kitty Cat P.A.L. Society saw fit to continue with this special fund for urgent medical needs such as amputation surgery, removal of an infected eye, soft tissue repair and IV Fluids for recovery from serious illness, so that urgent needs can be met immediately

HOBO - On the night of March 17th, 2011 we received another desperate case.  Hobo is a big, orange tabby cat with a non-viable front leg that he has been dragging for months.  His infected condition was at a critical stage, so it was lucky that this stray finally allowed himself to be caught.  One of our kind members offered to permanently open her home to "Hobo", so we were able to include amputation surgery & recovery in our list of options for him, since he wouldn't survive being released back into his previous life with 3 legs.  During surgery the vet discovered that not only was he unneutered, he had several healed puncture wounds from fighting, as well as tooth fractures and roots exposed - including both top canine teeth sheared-off at the gum line - likely from a crush trauma such as being run over by a vehicle.  Please, can you help "Hobo" and others like him?  Any amount helps, especially regular monthly donations.  Please indicate "Ruby Fund" with your donation. .
